What do they still want?

The sun is slowly setting on this once the envy of the developing world. Back then in the late 80s great nations of today like Singapore looked up to the ideas and plans of Nigeria to borrow ideas to move their country forward from the poverty and backwardness that engulfed them then. Nigeria had more 32fleet of functioning aircrafts registered under Nigerian Airways of blessed memory that plied the skies of the world with pride. What is the difference now 32years on?

These are questions that our leaders should be answering. This brings me to the question of what do they still want from this country? There are names that the generality of Nigerian should by now say no to. These are men that have either walked the corridors of power in Nigeria or that their God Son as was given birth to Anambra State by that tout called Chris Uba.

What do they still want? It is a shame to the whole nation that in the 21st century the president of the greatest and most popular black nation can be shipped abroad for wasteful treatment of which the money being spent can be used to save thousands of lives of the common man in Nigeria. Everyday thousands die on the corridors of our general hospitals because they can't afford to pay bills or that the hospital is ill-equipped. Tell me when was the last time any of our general hospitals had light for eight hours at stretch? 75days and still counting he has is still in another man's land for treatment, shame onto you all, from the idiots in Abuja to the animals in our respective states and local Governments.

About a month ago I was in Singapore General Hospital to visit a friend and I wept for Nigeria. The hospital is a clear picture of a true and honest Government at work for its citizenry, why won't you be happy to have such a government lead your country forever. I hope Singaporeans really appreciate what they have? Popularity and acceptance can only be achieved from hard work and honesty thats why such a great man like Lee Kuan Yew will forever be hailed and be immortalized for his great work in Singapore. Only if Nigerian leaders can be half of what he is, sighs!! No they won't, rather bribe for third term is a better way to perpetrate in power. I wish that great man can rule Nigeria for ten years.

But there is an old adage that once there is life there is hope, but in this case the hope is in our hands to tell all the old folks to go home and take care of the grand-children as the case was in the past. We need leaders that are young and vibrant to move the nation forward. God bless Nigeria and save our nation from these old fools.
