NIGERIANS AND NEED TO CHANGE

They say the Government is not good, but who makes the Government? You and I. We used to be known by the world for our footballing strength and intellectual abilities of our people. The Ibos from the eastern part were well known for trading and the succeed in that, the Hausas were the great farmers that feed the nation with those groundnut pyramids of the North, the yorubas were the great lawyers and intellectuals of our once great nation, but all those have become things of the past. Though alot of the blame can be hipped on the door steps of our leaders from 1976 till date. But more should go to the Babangida leadership that destroyed the institutions that were the pillar of the country, and also a great deal of blame also to the self enriching and hatred leadership of the Obasanjo's regime, which established a good institution called EFCC, but rather institutionalize it, he made it a weapon against political enemies and for people that questioned his integrity.

Before I digress from my topic, it would be important that we as common citizens of Nigeria do our own part in making Nigeria the envy of other nations. I have never seen people love their country like Singaporeans. It is really amazing how much they love and cherish the existence of that nation. I feel so sad being called a Nigerian at times, just because of the crime and fraud being committed by Nigerians all over the world. I cried when I found out that Philippine requires Nigerians to have Visa to come to their country, mean while Benin, Chad, Niger just to mention a few, do not require Visa to visit Philippines. Recently Singapore introduced same for Nigerians. This is just as a result of the crimes by our brothers and Sisters in the name of making money to the expense of other people. Why should one make friends with people on Tagged, friendster, Imesh etc only to fashion out ways to defraud these people that became friends with an honest heart. Nigerians that are in this should be exposed at all cost, because it is the height of wickedness, to steal from a friend, the worst is stealing from someone that loves you with all his/her heart.

The embassies of Nigeria all over the world are not even helping matters at all, because some of these crimes are done with help of some embassy staffs. It is not enough to just register our citizens with the embassies without monitoring what they are really doing in these countries. The embassies should sit up to their duties of investigating these people on a regular basics, at least for the sake of giving our nation a good name. The embassies should stop being lazy and face what they are meant to be doing. All over there is no embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that can account for what their citizens in that country are doing or the citizens that are there as tourist, students or even employed foreigner, none. It is not same for other nations, Singapore, Canada, The US etc, what makes them different is performance, they perform their duties effectively and efficiently without thinking of personal gains. We can if we wish to make it better, there are so many honest Nigerians that are suffering as a result of these crimes. So yes we can stop them.

SAVE NIGERIA. PART 2

In my last blog, save Nigeria part one, I looked at the role that the first world nations need play in realizing a stable and sustainable growth in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. The world is crying about the situation in Sudan, Zimbabwe, Somalia etc these are the small nations of Africa, what would it be like to have a serious crisis in Nigeria with a population of over 150million people? The question is rather not thought about. The leaders of Africa can not look Mugabe in his face and tell him to resign, no way. How can it ever be possible for an Obasanjo to mediate peace, when he is a perpetrator of war. Not too long ago he was fighting everyone that stood on his way to a third term in office. I wonder if the world forget things so fast or what? This was the man that ordered the bombing of the people of Udi, people he promised to protect and serve as their commander in chief.
The western world should please stop recognising these past leaders of ours, they should be made to be in their respective nations that they failed to lift from poverty and develop. They don't have reasons to fly outside of their country even if the are on their sick bed. Their relatives as well. If truly these great nations wish Africa the best, this is just the beginning of their role towards saving this great continent. Charles Taylor is in captivity, mean while so many of his pears still walk freely. Obasanjo, Babangida and all the ministers and Governors Nigeria has ever had from 1976 till date, except for some relatively honest ones like our Present President, Lateef Jakande, Late Sam Mbakwe etc. They rest of them should be made to pay for the blood of Nigerians that died as a result of hunger and disease. It is a bigger form of genocide, not to talk of the Udi bombing by a so called democratically elected government of Obasanjo.
Africans look forward to the day the western world will stop allowing these looters of our national treasures from investing in their nations. When you will go into places just for the sake of solving a problem, not for your gains. America has refused to really act in Africa and Nigeria because the oil will not flow like they had in Iraq. Dick Cheney and the bush administration knows what they and their cronies gained there. These are the sins hunting the US today. They should change their foreign policy, by being honest and transparent before the wrath of God completely befalls them

Save Nigeria

Great as the nation has been, with a great number of intelects and enriched with God's blessing of natural resources from east to west, north to south. This great nation of ours still languish as a third world nation way behind nations that looked up to it as an inspiration to move forward. Singapore, Malaysia just to mention but a few looked up to Nigeria in the seventies as the leading developing nation of the world, but unfortunately today Nigeria finds itself way behind these nations in terms of development and opportunities for it's citizenery.

The world looks on and wonders how will this great nation be helped so that the can help reduce their involvment in African genocides and wars. The problem i must tell the world is from them, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Singapore,France,Germany Canada etc. The leaders fail to develop this great nation Nigeria even with it's wealth because they can always get visa to spend the looted money in these places, their children and relatives move abroad to bigger and better schools easily, so there is no need to improve the educational system of this once role model nation. The health sector is not left out, Nigeria has a great number of well trained Doctors of international repute who are all over the world treating in developed nations, these our so called leaders do not care about the state of our general hospitals, because them and their relatives are easily given visas by these developed nations to go for speacial medical treatments abroad, when the ordinary man will never be given such, rather he is refered to these general hospitals that has be abandoned by these wicked leaders to die there.

Thank God we now have a president with an African blood runnig in his veins in the United States of America, i hope he looks into the issue of giving visas to these corrupt leaders. They should develop Nigeria and stop planning vaccations to Miami, Vancouver,Paris, London, Singapore Etc. Their children are issued visas to take funds stolen from the citizens, which was ment for developments to use for drug taking,prostitutions and cars in these places. How do you explain the fact that non of these robbers called leaders have any of their children or relatives studing in LASU,UNILAG, ABU, NAU,IMSU, ABSU etc just to mention a few. Non. The common People of Nigeria are constantly denied Visas while the looters of the Nigerian Tresure are constantly celebrated and issued Visas to keep on with their corruption practices of defrauding our beloved country. (STOP GIVING THEM VISAS, STOP ALLOWING THEIR RELATIVES COME TO YOUR COUNTRIES FOR ANY REASON SO THEY CAN DO WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM, DEVELOP THIS GREAT NATION. THEN WE KNOW YOU PEOPLE ARE SINCERE IN HELPING OUR NATION NIGERIA AND AFRICA AS A WHOLE.)
